How to invite a user to join your team
Email an invitation to someone without a SolveNext Lab account so they join your team automatically when they sign up.
If the person you want to add doesn't have a SolveNext Lab account yet, you can email them an invitation. When they sign up with that email address, they're added to your team automatically.
Before you start
- You must be a team admin of the team and have a Professional license. If you don't meet these requirements, Add User opens an upgrade prompt.
- If the person already has an account, you don't need an invitation. Add them directly. See Add users to a team.
Steps
- Open the team page. Click TEAMS in the ADMIN section of the Instigator sidebar, then click the team name.
- Click Add User.
- In the Add user to team (search by email) box, type the person's full email address.
- If no account matches, a "No users found" message appears with the email address. Choose a role from the list: Team user or Team admin.
- Click Send invite. You see "Invite sent".
- The person gets an email titled "You've been invited". It has an ACCEPT INVITATION HERE button that opens the sign-up page.
- When they sign up with the same email address, they join the team with the role you chose. The team then appears in their workspace switcher.
Other ways to join
- Request to join: anyone signed in can use Find your team on the Home page to search by team name or team ID, then click Request to join. Team admins get an email, and the request appears on the team page, where you can click Accept or Reject.
- Enterprise domains: if your team has an enterprise-wide license, new users who sign up with a listed company email domain can be added automatically.
Tips
- Make sure the email address is exactly right. The invitation only works for that address.
- Ask invitees to check their spam folder if the email doesn't arrive.
