How to create a Template from a Project

Project templates are not available right now. Learn the closest alternative: save each sprint of your project as a sprint template.

Creating a template from a whole project is not currently available in SolveNext Lab. The Create template option is not shown in the project menus, the Template library has no projects tab, and Create template in the library only offers Sprint and Session types.

What you can do instead

The work inside a project lives in its sprints and sessions, and both can be saved as templates. To reuse a project's structure:

  1. In the Instigator sidebar, click Sprints and find the sprints that belong to the project.
  2. For each sprint you want to reuse, open the sprint, click the ... menu next to its name and click Create template.
  3. Confirm with OK when asked "Are you sure?".
  4. Each sprint is saved as a sprint template, including all its sessions, agenda items and resources. You find them in Template library, on the Sprints tab.
  5. When you start new work, create a sprint from each template with Create sprint from template.

Other options

  • To copy a project's details (challenge statement, objectives, description and dates), use Duplicate on the project's row in the Leader view. This does not copy its sprints or sessions.
  • To reuse a single workshop, save the session as a template with Create template in the session's ... menu.
