How to add tags to a Template

Admins can add Tags and Next Cycle Tags to sprint and session templates so users can filter the Template library.

Tags make templates easier to find. Each template can have general Tags (for example a topic or method) and Next Cycle Tags (the Next Cycle stage it fits). Users then pick these tags in Filter in the Template library.

Before you start

  • Only SolveNext admins can add or change template tags. The tag fields are not shown to other users, so personal templates cannot be tagged by their owners today.
  • Tags can be added to sprint and session templates.

Steps

  1. In the Instigator sidebar, click Template library.
  2. Open the Sprints or Sessions tab and click the template name.
  3. Open the ... menu next to the template name and click Edit (for a sprint, Edit sprint).
  4. In Tag list, enter your tags separated by commas, for example ideation, remote.
  5. In Next cycle tag list, enter Next Cycle stages separated by commas. Use the allowed values: Formulate, Incubate, Accelerate, Operate, Grow.
  6. Click Confirm changes to Sprint or Confirm changes to Session.

The tags appear in the template details under Tags and Next Cycle Tags, and are added to the lists in Filter.

Tips

  • Reuse existing tag spelling. A slightly different spelling creates a new tag and splits your results.
  • To remove a tag, delete it from the field and save.
