How to Archive and Unarchive a Project
Archive a personal project to hide it from your lists, and unarchive it from the project page when you need it again.
Archiving hides a project from your Innovation Opportunities list and from search without deleting it. Unarchiving brings it back.
Before you start
- Archive and Unarchive are only on project pages in your personal workspace (My Work). They are not available for projects in a team workspace.
- The ... menu in the Innovation Opportunities list has no Archive option. You archive from the project page.
Archive a project
- In the Instigator view, type the project's name in the search box in the header and click the project in the results. The project page opens.
- Above the sprint list, click Archive.
- Confirm with OK when asked "Are you sure?".
- You return to the Innovation Opportunities list with the message "Opportunity archived successfully". The project no longer appears there or in search.
Unarchive a project
- Open the archived project's page. Search does not show archived projects, so use a link or bookmark you saved to the project page.
- Click Unarchive.
- Confirm with OK when asked "Are you sure?". The message "Opportunity unarchived successfully" appears and the project is back in your Innovation Opportunities list.
At the moment the Innovation Opportunities list has no option to show archived projects. If you no longer have a link to the archived project, you cannot open it to unarchive it. If you need help with this, contact SolveNext support.
Tips
- Before you archive a project, bookmark its page so you can unarchive it later.
- Archiving is not deleting. To remove a project permanently, use Delete in the ... menu of the Innovation Opportunities list.
