How to move a project to a folder
Moving existing projects into a folder is currently unavailable. Learn the alternatives and how to move sprints and sessions.
Projects now appear as Innovation Opportunities. The option to move an existing project into a folder is currently not available in the Innovation Opportunities list. This article explains what you can do instead.
Before you start
- Folders for Innovation Opportunities are available on the Pro license and for team members.
Put a new project in a folder
A project is saved in a folder when you create it from inside that folder.
- In the Leader sidebar, click Innovation Opportunities.
- Click the folder name to open it. If you don't have one yet, click New folder first.
- Inside the folder, click Create Opportunity.
- Fill in the form and create the opportunity. It is saved in the open folder.
Move a sprint or a session to a folder
Sprints and sessions can still be moved into folders.
- In the Instigator sidebar, click Sprints or Sessions.
- Click the ... menu on the row of the item you want to move.
- Click Move to folder.
- In the window, click a folder to open it. Click a folder inside it to go deeper, or click the top line to go back up.
- When the folder you want is open, click Move to folder.
- You see "Item moved successfully" and the folder opens.
Tips
- Only folders of the same type are shown. Sprint folders hold sprints, and session folders hold sessions.
- To take an item out of all folders, open the Move to folder window and click Move to folder without opening any folder.
