How to create a session for a specific time zone
Set the time zone where your workshop takes place so the start time and agenda times are correct for participants.
Each session has its own time zone. The start date and the agenda times are shown in that time zone, which is useful when you facilitate a workshop for people in another region.
Steps
When you create a session
- In the Instigator sidebar, under My work, click Sessions, then click Create session.
- Fill in the Name and the other details.
- In Time Zone (Yours: ...), choose the time zone where the session takes place. It starts with the time zone from your profile, which is shown in the label.
- Set the Start date as the local time in that time zone.
- Click Create Session.
For an existing session
- Open the session, click the ... menu next to its name and click Edit.
- Change Time Zone (Yours: ...) and check the Start date.
- Click the save button at the bottom right of the form.
Tips
- The start date is always read in the session's time zone. If you change only the time zone, the same clock time is kept in the new time zone, so check the start time again.
- The session page, the Sessions list and Play mode show times in the session's time zone. Play mode also shows the time zone.
- To change your own default time zone, update it in your account settings.
