Move an Innovation Opportunity through the Next Cycle

Change an Innovation Opportunity's stage or step by clicking the Next Cycle bar on its page, or let the AI assistant suggest a position.

As your opportunity matures, update its position in the Next Cycle so everyone can see where it really stands.

Before you start

Open the opportunity. In the Leader sidebar, click Innovation Opportunities and click its name.
In the Next Cycle bar, choose how far to move:
- To a specific step: click the step segment under its stage. Hover over the segments to see each step's name.
- To the start of a stage: click the stage name. The opportunity moves to the first step of that stage.
The change is saved right away. You see "Opportunity was successfully updated." and the bar refreshes to show the new stage and step.

Click Advance with AI next to the cycle name (or in the AI Agent Suggestions card).
Follow the assistant's questions. It uses your opportunity details, hypotheses and processed resources.
Review its recommended stage and step. Its suggestions are saved in the AI Agent Suggestions card on the opportunity page.

There is no confirmation step when you click the bar. If you click the wrong segment, click the right one to fix it.
Hypotheses you create afterwards are tagged with the new stage.
