How to add participants to a hypothesis

Add people to a hypothesis so they know they are involved in testing it. Each new participant receives an email notification.

You can add participants to a hypothesis to show who is involved in testing it. Each person you add receives an email notification.

Before you start

  • The hypothesis must already exist. Participants are managed from the hypothesis form, not from the New assumption form.
  • In a team workspace, you can only add members of that team. In your personal workspace, you can search for any user by exact email address, first name or last name.

Steps

  1. Open the opportunity. In the Leader sidebar, click Innovation Opportunities and click its name.
  2. Click the Assumptions vs Knowledge heading to expand the tables.
  3. Click the text of the hypothesis in the Assumptions or Knowledge table. The hypothesis form opens.
  4. Scroll down to Participants and click Add Participants.
  5. In the Add user window, type in the search box (placeholder "Add people within the organization"). Results appear as you type.
  6. Select the checkbox next to each person you want to add. You can search again and select more people.
  7. Click Add User. The new names appear in the Participants list.

Remove a participant

  1. Open the hypothesis form as described above.
  2. In the Participants list, click the remove icon next to the person's name.
  3. Confirm with OK when asked "Are you sure?".

Tips

  • Participants are saved as soon as you click Add User or confirm a removal. You don't need to click Save in the hypothesis form for these changes.
  • For privacy, email addresses in the search results are blurred. Use the name to pick the right person.
